THE QUORN FURNITURE COMPANY

Established in 1982 by the present owner Stephen Yates, Quorn Pine developed into one of the most interesting and well-loved furniture outlets in Leicestershire. Indeed, the business has now evolved to such an extent that Stephen and his fellow director, his brother Matt, have renamed Quorn Pine - as from September 16th 2006 the business has been known as "The Quorn Furniture Company".

"Obviously after 24 years this was not an easy decision to take" said Stephen. "But we have felt for some time that the original name did not adequately reflect what was happening in our showrooms. Whilst of course, we still deal in antique and new pine furniture we also retail large ranges of furniture in many other woods, including oak, beech, ash as well as hand painted finishes. We feel that the new name is simple, all encompassing, and retains our long established link with the beautiful village of Quorn.”

However, whilst the name has changed, Stephen assures valued-customers that the same high standards of service, affordable quality and flexibility will be maintained. The company will continue to offer expert paint stripping and restoration services in the large on-site workshops.

Stephen added, "These are exciting and challenging times for furniture retailers, and we are really looking forward to providing another twenty five years of our special style of service under our new banner!"
